WHAT TO DO AFTER GRADUATE FROM UNIVERSITY

I am already in two minds about what to do first after finish from the University. Should I apply to master program of TESOL study, or should I apply to a government officer to be a teacher of a secondary school.

To be a teacher, become the purpose of many under graduated students in BUDI UTOMO Institution. Become the government officer, of course become their goal when finish from this Institution. But, actually there are many option that we can choose about what to do first. I can be a tourist guide, a government officer, or even apply to study program in study TESOL. 

To choose what to do first, we have to make some consideration. To be an English teacher is my goal in life. That’s why, when I enter this institution, I choose English program as my main subject. Unfortunately, once You become government officer, You will be curbed by the government rule. In other words, my freedom will be taken from myself, so I have to live under the government rule. Of course this become the biggest problem  for me, a person who love freedom in my life. 

The second choice is applying to continue in master program of study TESOL. This is the very good choice. I can continue and mastering my English skill. Moreover, we also able to communicate and make relationship with native English speaker, mainly when I continue study overseas. Furthermore, there are so many friends we can get, not only virtual friends like in Social Networking or Facebook, but really get the true friends.

Considering the second option, the other problem raises. Considering my age now, if I spend my time to continue mastering English overseas, when will I enter real life. Even it is often said that higher your education, higher opportunity to get job and earn money. Secondly, it will require so much money to pay my study. How can I get much money without work? It’s possible that I will get job and work 1 or 2 year, after that continue my study. But we all know that, the salary of non government or private teacher is very low. 

So, the best choice should be the first option, become the government officer. Become the teacher in secondary school, get married, children, being old and die. No, I can’t live this kind of life. That is too monotonous. Many people do something like that, a monotonous life. I must make differences, make something different from the other.

A challenges life should be best for me. I can keep my money right now to continue my study, maybe overseas study. There are many challenges there, such as culture shock, or how to adapted and survive with foreign condition. Beside, we also able to get new friends from all around the world. Nevertheless, if here I only speak English with non native speaker, I hope when study overseas, I can speak with native speaker, and unconsciously, improving my English skill.

I Think, I have my mind up. I am going to keep my money right now. And after finish from this Institution, I am going to work 1 or 2 years, and CONTINUE STUDY OVERSEAS.

BUT BEFORE ALL THAT THINGS HAPPENED, I WANT TO COLLECT THIS WRITING AS FIRST WRITING TASK…!! THANK YOU FOR MY LECTURER WHO HAVE BRING THE IDEA ABOUT WHAT TO UPDATED IN THIS BLOG..!!
